Kacheera Center elects its first council
Members in Kacheera voted by ballot for their first Center council, which will meet every month.
Our members in Kacheera have elected their first Center council. The vote was held by secret ballot at the health centre, as our constitution requires.
What a Center council does
The council will meet at least once a month. It will plan outreach days in Kacheera, orient new members, raise working conditions with facility managers, and handle members' concerns fairly and quickly.
First decision
At its first meeting, the council asked for clean delivery kits for mothers in the sub-county. That request is now a live cause on our site.
