Cookie policy
Last updated 23 October 2026.
1. About this policy
This Cookie Policy explains how MANCO (Midwives And Nurses Charity Organisation) ("MANCO", "we" or "us") uses cookies and similar technologies on this website. It should be read together with our Privacy Notice.
2. What cookies are
A cookie is a small text file that a website places on your device when you visit it. Cookies allow a website to recognise your device during a visit or on later visits, and are widely used to make websites work securely and efficiently.
3. The cookies we use
We use only cookies that are strictly necessary for the website to function securely, together with one cookie that remembers your response to our cookie notice. We do not use analytics, advertising, profiling or social media cookies, and we do not allow third parties to place cookies through our pages.
- manco (named __Host-manco on secure connections). Purpose: keeps your visit secure, protects every form on the website against forged submissions and, for authorised staff, maintains a signed in session in our administration system. Type: strictly necessary, first party. Duration: deleted when you close your browser, or after one hour of inactivity in the administration system.
- manco_cookies. Purpose: records that you have read and dismissed the cookie notice, so that it is not shown again. It contains no personal data. Type: functional, first party. Duration: twelve months.
4. Similar technologies
We do not use web beacons, pixels, browser fingerprinting or local storage to track visitors. If you use the website assistant, the current conversation is kept in your browser's session storage so that it continues as you move between pages; it is deleted when you close the tab and is never used to track you.
5. Third party content
The map on our contact page is not loaded unless you choose to show it. If you do, the map is delivered by OpenStreetMap, which may receive your IP address and may set its own cookies under its own policies. Payments are made outside this website, through your Mobile Money network.
6. Why we do not ask for consent
Strictly necessary cookies are essential to provide the website securely at your request and do not require your consent. We nonetheless tell you about them, in keeping with the principles of openness and transparency in the Data Protection and Privacy Act, 2019. Should we ever wish to use cookies that are not strictly necessary, we will ask for your consent first and update this policy.
7. Managing cookies
Most browsers allow you to view, block and delete cookies through their settings. If you block the strictly necessary cookie, the forms on this website, including the gift reporting and membership forms, will not work.
8. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy to reflect changes to the cookies we use or to the law. The date of the latest version appears at the top of this page.
9. Contact
