Legal form
Limited by guarantee, owned by no one
MANCO is a non-governmental organisation limited by guarantee without share capital. No one owns shares. Each member agrees to contribute UGX 100,000 towards winding up costs if MANCO is ever dissolved, and that is the limit of their liability.
Staff and others may be paid fairly, in good faith, for work actually done. Nothing else is paid out to members.
If MANCO ever closes
Nothing goes to private hands
MANCO was formed to run indefinitely. If it ever had to close, our constitution requires all its property to pass to another organisation with similar aims.

Questions people ask
How is my donation used?
When you give to a cause, your money goes to that cause. Every cause lists exactly what it buys and what each item costs. If a cause raises more than its goal, the extra goes to the next most urgent cause in the same programme, and we say so in the updates. General gifts go where the need is greatest.
Is MANCO a registered organisation?
MANCO is constituted as a non-governmental organisation limited by guarantee without share capital, under Uganda's NGO law. Our registration details will be published on this site once confirmed.
Who checks MANCO's accounts?
Our accounts are audited every year by independent auditors appointed by the Board, and the audited accounts are presented to members at the Annual General Assembly. Withdrawals from our bank account need two of three signatories, including the principal signatory.
