There is room for you here

Nurses and midwives join as members and run the organisation. Everyone else can join as an associate, give a Saturday, or bring their organisation alongside.

Your rights as a member

Six promises in our constitution

In a democratic organisation, members decide the things that affect them.

  • To elect

Every member directly elects the officers, the Executive Board and their Center leaders.

  • To see the books

A full and open account of MANCO's finances, every year.

  • To disagree

Members may disagree with the leadership without fear.

  • To debate

Members can debate the direction of the organisation at any General Assembly.

  • To decide the rules

Changes to the Constitution and to membership dues need a members' vote.

  • To be heard fairly

Any issue is handled in a fair, unbiased and timely way.

Membership Pledge (draft)

I will care for the people I serve with skill, honesty and compassion. I will treat every colleague with respect. I will take part in the life of my Center, and I will use my voice for health as a human right.

This pledge does not ask any member to give up their legal rights.

MANCO is limited by guarantee. Each member agrees to contribute UGX 100,000 towards winding up costs if MANCO is ever dissolved. There is no other liability.

Volunteer

Give a Saturday

Outreach days need far more than clinicians. We need people to register patients, translate, keep the queue moving, pack the car and take photos with consent.
