Facts about MANCOCenters and Divisions
A Center is a group of MANCO members in one work area: a health centre, a unit or a cluster of facilities. Centers are where the organisation really lives.
The structure
Members elect every layer. The General Assembly, where every member has a voice, sits above the Board.
Members in one work area, elected by ballot or petition every three years. They mobilise members, orient new staff and represent colleagues.
All the Centers at a facility, meeting at least once a month. They plan outreach, keep minutes, handle concerns and appeals.
Councils grouped by area, meeting at least every three months with a rank and file chair. They plan strategy and set a code of conduct.
Chairperson, Vice Chairperson, Executive Director, Finance Director and Secretary. Meets at least every three months.
Every member. Meets at least once a year to review the Board, pass the budget and approve the work plan.

Fair by design
By ballot or by a petition signed by a majority of members in the work area.
No one holds a Center role indefinitely without a fresh vote.
Center members serve without pay. The Board may reimburse lost time and out of pocket costs.
Concerns go first to the Center council. If unresolved, a majority petition can call a recall ballot.
If there is no MANCO Center at your facility yet, a few members can begin one. The Board will help you organise the first vote.
