Facts about MANCOMothers and newborns · Kifamba
A prepaid ride with a trusted rider, so labour does not start with a search for transport money.

Ask a midwife why a mother delivered at home and the answer is often the same: there was no money for transport when labour started.
We work with a small group of trusted boda boda riders in Kifamba. A mother with a voucher calls the rider, the rider takes her to the health centre, and MANCO pays the rider at the end of the month. Twenty thousand shillings covers one ride.
