A rapid test for every child with a fever, and same day treatment for every positive result.

The need

The rainy season brings malaria to Kagamba every year. A rapid test takes fifteen minutes. Treatment that starts the same day keeps most children out of hospital.

This cause buys tests and child doses of treatment for 150 children across two Child Health Days, following Ministry of Health guidelines. Any child with danger signs goes straight to the health centre with a referral note.
